The Rules Of The Forum
We've established these Community Rules so that everyone can get the most out of the Chippy Chat community. These Rules protect all users by making sure the boards are safe and fun for everyone.
About your posts. We operate a ZERO tolerate policy on rule breaking. ONE STRIKE AND YOU ARE OUT.
* Contributions must be civil and tasteful
* No disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour: contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble.
* No unlawful or objectionable content: unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable.
* Be patient: users of all ages and abilities may be taking part in the relevant Chippy Chat Community.
* No spamming or off-topic material: we don't allow the submission of the same or very similar contributions many times. Please don't re-submit your contribution to more than one discussion, or contribute off-topic material in subject-specific areas.
* No advertising, other than in the allocated areas of the 'Chippy's Own Site' forum, and the links page - placed at the discretion of Chippy Chat.
* Avatas shall be no bigger than 80x80 pixels
* Contributions containing languages other than English may be removed, due to it being difficult to modderate them.
* No impersonation. We require your real name and interest in fish and chips entered in your profile even if you use a nickname for your user name or avatar. You must be either a frier, supplier or have an associated interest to join in the debate and you must declare it.
* No inappropriate (e.g. vulgar, offensive etc) user names
* You may not refer to specific URLs (web site addresses) at the bottom of your posts (Signature). If you know of a worthy web site relevant to Chippy Chat, please post this in the appropriate sections.
Safety:
We advise that you never reveal any personal information about yourself beyond the requirements to post, and please do not disclose postal addresses of any kind. If you have a helpful address to share, please inform us using the 'Feedback' link, and we will promote it if we see fit. we advise that any personal information that you post either in your profile or in the forums are being placed in the public domain and if you do not wish this information to be made public - do not become a member or start posting.
About the law
* You may not submit any defamatory or illegal material of any nature in Chippy Chat Communities. This includes text, graphics, video, programs or audio.
* Contributing material with the intention of committing or promoting an illegal act is strictly prohibited.
* You agree to only post materials which are your own original work. You may not violate, plagiarise, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, personal, publicity, or proprietary rights.
If you're under 16
* Please get your parents' permission before taking part in any Chippy Chat discussion.
* Never reveal any personal information about yourself (for example: your telephone number, mobile phone number, school name, home address).
If you breach these Chippy Chat Community Rules
If you fail to abide by these Community Rules when taking part in a Chippy Chat Community service, we may send you an e-mail which informs you why your contribution has been deleted or edited. This mail will also include a warning that continuing to break the rules may result in action being taken against your account or accounts.
This action may include your relevant account or accounts being placed into pre-moderation or a temporary or permanent suspension of your ability to participate in any or all of the Chippy Chat Community areas.
If you post or send offensive or inappropriate content anywhere on or to Chippy Chat Communities or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on Chippy Chat, and Chippy Chat considers such behaviour to be serious Chippy Chat may use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop any further such infringements. This may include informing relevant third parties such as your employer, school or email provider about the infringement/s. Chippy Chat reserves the right to delete any contribution, or take action against any account, at any time, for any reason.
Chippychat or the NFFF will not be held responsible for the views and comments of its members. we recognise that they hold copyright and responsibility for their own comments . chippychat will endeavour to remove less than friendly posts. The information and debate in these forums may not be relied upon or form the basis of any liability that may arise should any advise contained therein be acted upon.
